Discussed letter from State Dept. Of Corrections as to what had to be done to the old Jail prior to it being used as a Courts holding area. Stieve advised the Committee in his opinion, based on the State's recommendations, that it would be just as cost effective to demo the entire jail and rebuild what is specifically needed, versus trying to modify the existing jail cells. Committee agreed that demolition of the entire area may be the best route to take. Stieve will work with the Sheriff's Dept to assure that their needs within this space are met.
The problem with the precast at courthouse south entrance was looked at by Vierbicher; Stieve wants to be certain everything is structurally safe.
There is a possible sewer line collapse at the LEC.
A water problem still exists in the West Square and Stieve is looking at some options.

Stieve gave a brief update on the towers, following the Communications Committee meeting last week. County will likely have to purchase property from the owners next to Hemlock Park. Giebel suggested checking on the Camp Delton cell site and Stieve will check with the town clerk on this.
Nextel wants to partner with Sauk County and put a new tower on the courthouse. They would pay the cost of installation and in return receive free space on the tower until their investment was returned; then pay a monthly rate of $1200.
