PRESENT: Williams, Giebel, Montgomery, Carlson, Wenzel, R. Williams, Evenson, Johnson, Radke Vinet, Kriegl, Begin, Prantner, Hafemann and Steinhorst

The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties notified.

Giebel made a motion, second by Montgomery to adopt the Agenda.
Motion, Carried.

Giebel made a motion, second by Montgomery to approve the Minutes of the previous meeting.
Motion Carried.

Judge Evenson appeared to give an update on information he has found regarding Community Service Programs. Any future program will require supervision, grant or seed money. Adams County has a program in place. Hafemann stated that it was possible that Attic would run a program. Perhaps someone from Attic and/or Adams County could come speak to the committee in March.

Giebel made a motion second by Montgomery to approve a resolution SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 2003 ASSEMBLY BILL 616 WHICH CHANGES THE CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING INDIGENCY FOR PURPOSES OF STATE PUBLIC DEFENDER (SPD) REPRESENTATION, and to take it to County Board at the next available meeting.
Motion Carried.

Giebel made a motion second by Carlson to approve New Worker training for two days in May for Chris Grieves i n the Child Support Agency.
Motion Carried.

Karyle Johnson appeared to discuss the following: a) Key tags, incentive gifts. b) Request that all Committee members attend in any training offered; c) Legal statistics; d) Federal audit; e) Duplicate filing with the Clerk of Court's Office; f) Reduction of child support orders for appropriate cases. e) Amended Chapter 35 ordinance.

Kim Vinet appeared to give a brief department update, and the relocation on the Register In Probate/Juvenile Clerk Department.

Board Member Tom Kriegl appeared discuss daily cost analysis for the jail . Kriegl handed out to the committee several articles and spread sheets he prepared from information he received, including information from Accounting and the Jail. The committee thanked Kriegl for his presentation and expressed their gratitude on the amount of work put into the analysis. The committee also suggested that this report be presented to the Finance Committee.

Giebel made a motion, second by Wenzel to approve the following monthly vouchers:

Child Support's monthly vouchers in the amount of $1,542.50

District Attorney & Victim Witness' monthly vouchers in the amount of $1,099.41

Circuit Court's monthly vouchers in the amount of $440.20 (2003) & $1,034.33 (January 2004)

Clerk of Circuit Court's monthly vouchers in the amount of $6,372.68 (2003) & $15,174.40 (January 2004)

Register in Probate/Juvenile Clerk in the amount of $287.50 (2003) & $144.28 (January 2004)

Court Commissioner's and Family Court Counseling Mediation in the amount of $882.42.
Motion Carried.

Carlson made a motion, second by Wenzel to adjourn to Thursday March 11, 2003 at 8:30 a.m. at the Branch I Jury Room.
