Arts, Humanities, and Historic Preservation Meeting Minutes


DATE: June 10, 2005

The regular meeting of the Sauk County Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Committee was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 1:00 p.m. by Art Carlson.

Members present: Arthur Carlson, Rose White,, Peter Tollaksen, Judy Ashford, Lola Huber, Henry Netzinger
Members excused: Carol Sorg
Others present: Kathy Schauf

The agenda was approved on a motion by Tollaksen, second by Netzinger, and a unanimous vote of the Committee. The minutes of the prior meeting were approved on a motion by Ashford, second by Tollaksen, and a unanimous vote of the Committee.

Discussion of article on Tracking the Creative Class/

Business Items:

Discussion and consideration of a request for funding by the Spring Green Area Arts Coalition for the Center for Creativity and Innovation. The committee continued this item remaining from the May meeting. It was determined that invitations to present would be extended to Derrick Gee, President; and Barbara Morford, Exective Director of the proposed venture for the August meeting.

Consideration of vision, mission, goals.

Motion by Ashford, second by Tollaksen to approve Form 1 as amended and request that the document be included in the final budget book.
Motion carried.

Updates:

Motion by Tollaksen, second by White to approve the payment of vouchers in the amount of $10,376.25.
Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned on a motion by Tollaksen, seconded by Ashford, with a unanimous committee vote. Next meeting date was set for 1:00 p.m. On July 08, 2005, at the Painted Forest Museum in Valton,Wisconsin.
