The regular meeting of the Sauk County Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Committee was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 2:30 p.m. by Art Carlson.
Members present: Arthur Carlson, Rose White, Judy Ashford, Lola Huber, Henry Netzinger, Jay Salinas
Members excused: Peter Tollaksen
Others present: Kathy Schauf, Peter Shrake
The agenda was approved on a motion by Netzinger, second by White, and a unanimous vote of the Committee. The minutes of the prior meeting were approved on a motion by Netzinger, second by Huber, and a unanimous vote of the Committee.

A update of the Finance Hearing budget appropriations for 2006 was given. We will revisit this topic at the December meeting.
The Center for Creativity will be meeting on October 1, 2005 to begin planning for 2006.
Discussion and consideration of writers group.
Discussed need for the implementation of a program of this nature. Currently, there is a great deal of information that has been printed on the history of Sauk County. We will revisit this topic early next year to consider inclusion in the mission and goals.
Consideration of participation as a WRAP regional host.
Discussed ramifications of the project and will examine this at future meetings, will consider during development of mission and goals for 2007.
Consideration and development of a mini-grants program.
A variety of funding options for projects which do not fall into the grant program were discussed. Development of appropriate parameters was discussed.
Discussion and consideration of regional arts meetings.
A work group will meet to discuss options for holding a regional arts summit in Baraboo.
County Board thank you presentation.
This has been tentatively scheduled for the December board meeting.
Artist Registry - No new applications to consider.
County Courthouse - The subcommittee reported on current events being planned.
Humanities Speakers - Speakers have been confirmed.
Historic Preservation Month - Display has been set up in the Sauk County West Square Building..
Cultural Resources Directory - December draft is being anticipated.
Motion by Netzinger, seconded by Carlson to approve the payment
of vouchers in the amount of $3,000.
Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned on a motion by Ashford, seconded by Huber, with a unanimous committee vote.
Next meeting date was set for 1:00 p.m. On November 11, 2005, at the River Arts Center, Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin.
