Resolution No. 104-05 Increasing County Board and Committee Member
Per Diem Effective With the April, 2006 Reorganization of the County
Board. Moved (Endres/Tollaksen), to refer resolution back to the
Executive & Legislative Committee. Discussion in support of, and
in opposition to referring back to Executive & Legislative Committee;
issues relating to multiple payment for attending more than one meeting
per day; and noting proposed increase amounts to 1.5% increase since
the last time per diems were raised. Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel,
gave his legal opinion that per State Statutes, multiple payments are
not allowable unless Sauk becomes self organized. Options permitted
under State Statutes would be to consider a salary vs. per diem pay
structure. Gene Wiegand, Administrative added that self organization
would also allow staggered elections of Board members. Moved (Bychinski/Tollaksen),

Possible Resolution No. 109-05 Authorizing the Purchase of Lots
in the Dellwood Subdivision and Appropriation of Funds to Purchase
Lots in Dellwood Subdivision. Moved (Hartje/Stoeckmann). Discussion
regarding purpose of resolution is for Sauk County to purchase
these unbuildable lots, bring them up to buildable lot sizes, and
then sell the lots. The offices of the Treasurer and Planning & Zoning
were commended for their work on this project. Vote total: AYES:
