Letter to Chairman Wenzel from Sheryl Albers, 50th Assembly District State Representative, regarding 2 referendums voted on in the Spring of 2005 asking voters if the State, and not the counties, should finance human services programs and court system costs in their entirety, because both costs are mandated by the State. The voters agreed that the State should fully fund services that it mandates. As a result Representative Albers, along with several of her colleagues, sent a letter to the chairs of the Joint Legislative Council to request a study be performed as to the feasibility of the referenda.
