Communications Infrastructure Committee

1. Meeting called to order by Chair Bychinski at 7:30 a.m.. Certification of compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.
2. Adopt agenda: Motion by Hartje, second by Sinklair to adopt agenda.
   Carried.
3. Adopt minutes: Motion by Montgomery, second by Hartje to approve minutes of last meeting.
   Carried.
4. Communications: None.
5. Business Items:
   • Update on Fiber Optics: Will be doing final termination in the Communications Shelter as soon as power is up. Engineering from Reedsburg to Happy Hill completed, this will be first piece completed in spring, then Happy Hill to Baraboo.
   • Merrimac: Not much to report, temporary paging solution is working good. Still waiting on the moratorium. Price for property probably will be around $100,000.
   • Courthouse: Finally spoke with Engineer at A&O after numerous calls and messages. Some photos and blue prints of the anchor points have been forwarded for review.
   • Hemlock: Just waiting Lavalle Telephone Company to terminate things at the Tower end.
   • Lake Delton: Tower is up and Communications Shelter is set. Electrician will be on site on 2-3-05 and fencing will go up on Friday and Saturday, generator will go in after wiring completed.
   • Hillpoint: Have to make contact with property owner to see if he has decided on a location, no real rush at this point.
   • Sauk City: Tower to go up next Tuesday 2-8-05 as well as the Communications Shelter will be delivered. Electrician will be there just prior or just after the 8th depending on how things go at Delton. Discussed the possibility of Co-op Oil Company going on that tower.
   • Spring Green: Todd working with Neuheisel Attorney on negotiations and Tim is working on getting the survey of the piece of property we wish to purchase.
   • Resolution on Fiber Optic Training: Discussed training being offered by OFS the supplier of the Fiber Optic Cable. Training will take place in late March. Moved by Montgomery, 2nd by Hartje to approve.
     Carried.
6. Next Meeting.
   Next regular meeting to be March 2nd, @ 7:30 am at the EMBS Meeting Room, Room 128, at the Sauk County Courthouse.
