Update on Fiber Optics: Tim noted that we finally have the power equipment and the testing of the fiber equipment is now scheduled for the week of January 2nd, 2006. Plowing of conduit and fiber optic cable is done for the year. White is going to try and get the boring of conduit between the LEC and the Courthouse completed this year but their equipment has been freezing up. It was also noted that some of the conduit put in with the reconstruction of Broadway has water in it and is frozen, Ellis is going to see if we can get that cleared, if not the fiber between the LEC and courthouse won't go in until spring. Fiber from the Courthouse to Delton to Reedsburg, to Happy Hill to Hillpoint to Sauk City should be completely spliced through by the end of the year. Once equipment is tested and placed at the towers we can start using this fiber. Provided all goes well that should happen in February. Ellis still looking at the route from Sauk City to Tower Road Site, looking at Hwy 78 and Badger.
Merrimac: Painting issues were taken care of, side arms are on the tower, waiting to run the feed lines, doesn't work good to run those lines in the extreme cold that we have been having. Still waiting for the RF equipment to arrive. Site could be on-line within the next month or two.
Hillpoint: Driveway had to be reinforced and was done so by Highway, Foundation was poured on Tuesday (12-06-05) and working on the schedule for erection.
Happy Hill: Working on some wiring between the old building and the new, then will begin to switch radios over to the new facility. All the power and generator work is completed at the site.
Lake Delton: Hemlock: Sauk City; Courthouse; Nothing new to report.
Closed Session: Move by Montgomery, second by Hartje to move to closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes 19.85(1)(e). Roll call vote: Montgomery - Yes, Hartje - Yes, Sinklair - Yes, Bychinski - Yes, Stevens - Yes. Moved to closed session.
