The MIS Committee was called to order at 5:15 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2005, by Secretary White. Members present were: Gaalswyk, Krueger, and White.
Motion to adopt agenda by Gaalswyk. Pate requested to have item #6 removed from agenda. Motion to adopt agenda with change by Gaalswyk, seconded by Krueger. Agreed on by committee. Motion carried.
Motion to adopt minutes by Gaalswyk, seconded by Krueger. Agreed on by committee. Motion carried.
Communications - None
Review of 2006 MIS Budget Requests - Pate handed out the outlines of the budgets for the following departments: Sheriff's, Health Care Center, Human Services and Accounting. Pate also pointed out the costly items for the MIS Department - projector and firewall server. Discussion followed.
Update on HCC Software - Pate held a conference call with Buttonow, HCC's Business Manager, and Melyx. Melyx admitted that the issues with the software are known issues. However, these issues do not prevent billing. Out of the 7 issues addressed, Melyx stated that they would be able to fix 4. White wanted to know timeline for resolution of these issues. Pate explained that there should be some answers when a key player from Melyx returns from vacation next week. Discussion followed.
MIS Dept. Update -
Data Center Wiring
Kronos Time Keeping - Koehler and Pate met with Kronos regarding system at HCC - This system needs to be upgraded. Need to buy more licenses so that software will have more functionality. Talked about a system county-wide. Krueger expressed support for this.
Onvia Demand Star Preparations - MIS dept. will be the beta testing dept.
Visions System Hardware Upgrade
LandShark System Implementation
On-line Credit Card Payments for Planning & Zoning Fees.
Helpdesk volume up from last year at this time.
Motion to approve vouchers by Krueger, seconded by Gaalswyk. Agreed on by committee. Motion carried.
