The MIS Committee was called to order at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2005, by Chair Stoeckmann. Members present were: Gaalswyk, Krueger, Netzinger, Stoeckmann and White.
Netzinger requested that Agenda items be changed around - move #7 to #6.
Motion to adopt agenda with changes by White, seconded by Netzinger. Agreed on by committee.
Motion carried.
Motion to adopt minutes by Netzinger, seconded by White. Agreed on by committee.

Communications - None
VisionAir Conference - Pate explained that the Sheriff's Dept. wants to send 3 Sauk County employees to North Carolina for training. David Grant from MIS would be one of the 3 to attend. Pate explained that the costs to send Grant would come out of the Sheriff's budget. The committee gave their approval to send Grant to the training. Motion by Netzinger, seconded by Gaalswyk. Agreed on by committee. Motion carried.
MIS Budget - Pate went to the review meetings this past month. The increases in the MIS budget are due to service contracts. The Finance Committee reviewed the budget and didn't have many questions. To sum it up, Pate said that no changes were made during the review process.
MIS Dept. Update -
Motion to approve vouchers by Gaalswyk, seconded by White.. Agreed on by committee.

Discussion of disposal of computer equipment - Krueger talked about P & I committee meeting. There is a consensus that an auction should not take place. Committee would like MIS Committee to oversee the disposal of computer equipment from now on. Pate explained that we are bound by the Financial Policy to sell equipment through an auction. Finance Committee meets tomorrow to discuss changing the policy. Krueger would like MIS Committee to consider options for equipment disposal. Stoeckmann recommended that Pate contact Fred Hebert with WI Community Action Council, a non-profit organization.
Next meeting scheduled for October 11, at 5:00 p.m.
