Public Health Board Meeting Minutes


DATE: Wednesday, June 8, 2005

PLACE: ETN Room

Present: Earl, Schlender, White, Haugen, Clement

Absent: Kriegl, Hannah

Also Present: Konkel, Bodendein, Lally, Muhlenbeck

Meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by Earl, and compliance with the open meeting law was noted.

Moved by Haugen, seconded by Clement to adopt the agenda, with the deletion of items "C","D", "E" and "H" under Departmental Updates, due to the shortness of the meeting .
Motion carried.

Moved by White, seconded by Schlender to adopt the minutes of the 5/11/2005 and 5/17/2005 meetings. Motion carried.

COMMUNICATIONS:

There were no communications to report

BUSINESS ITEMS:

There were no business items to report.

DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES:

  1. Moved by White, seconded by Schlender to add the monthly reports to the minutes of the meeting. It was noted that the Home Care Program continues to have more revenues than expenditures. Motion carried.
  2. Moved by Haugen, seconded by Clement to approve the vouchers totaling $30,976.37. Motion carried.
  3. Discussion regarding possible approval of contracting with the State of Wisconsin to provide limited inspections for Motels (without pools), Bed and Breakfast, Vending Machines and Campgrounds. Moved by White, seconded by Clement to approve the Sauk County Health Department to contract with the State of Wisconsin to provide limited inspections. This would include Motels (without pools), Bed and Breakfast, Vending Machines and Campgrounds. Ayes: Clement, White, Schlender, Earl. Nays: Haugen. Motion carried.
  4. Moved by Haugen, seconded by Schlender to approve the Lead Screening Program through the WIC program. Motion carried.
  5. Muhlenbeck handed out her first attempt at setting Goals for the 2006 Budget. The Board was to look over her suggestions and bring back any other suggestions at the next Board of Health Meeting.

Next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for 7/13/2005.

Moved by Clement, seconded by Schlender to adjourn.
