Public Health Board Meeting Minutes

Present: Earl, Schlender, White, Haugen, Hannah, Clement,

Absent: None
Also Present: Konkel, Muhlenbeck
Meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Earl and compliance with the open
meeting law was noted.
Moved by Schlender, seconded by Clement to adopt the agenda with the addition
of item: F Environmental Health Report. Motion carried.
Moved by Hannah, seconded by Rose to approve the minutes of the Sauk County
Board of Health Meeting Minutes for October 12, 2005. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Muhlenbeck handed out NALBOH newspaper and the news article in the Baraboo
News Paper article regarding the Health Departments functional exercise for
mass vaccination immunizations.
BUSINESS ITEMS:
There were no business items
DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES:
- Moved by White, seconded by Clement to add the monthly reports to the
minutes of the meeting. Motion carried.
- Moved by Haugen, seconded by Schlender to approve the October 2005 vouchers
totaling $33,272.07. Motion carried.
- Judy Spring did not appear. She will be put on next months agenda.
- Discussion regarding Planning and Zoning issues with the application by
Jeff Kozlowski for a Restricted Animal Permit. More information will be coming
next month.
- Haugen reported on WALHDAB legislative issues and the monthly WALHDAB
meeting.
- Muhlenbeck informed the Board that the two new programs in Environmental
Health (Transient well inspections, and the Division of Health mini grant
for inspections) was going well. Lally is requesting Sauk County hire a Environmental
Health Technician to help with the inspections next year. There will be enough
funding from the programs to add this position. More information will be
coming next month with a possible action item. At present Mr. Lally trains
the environmental health staff and than just supervises them, which is a
good use of his time. The summer LTE from Adams County worked out well this
year.
Next Public Health Board meeting is scheduled for 12/14/2005 at 6 p.m.
