The regular meeting of the Sauk County Arts, Humanities and Historic Preservation Committee was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 1:00 p.m. by Art Carlson.

Members present: Arthur Carlson, Judy Ashford, Rose White, Peter Tollaksen, Lola Huber, Tommy Lee Bychinski

Members excused: Jay Salinas,

Others present: Kathy Schauf, Peter Shrake, Dale Jaedike,

The agenda was approved on a motion by Huber, second by White, and a unanimous vote of the Committee. The minutes of the prior meeting were approved on a motion by Ashford, second by Tollaksen, and a unanimous vote of the Committee.

Discussion to consider Membership in the Wisconsin Foundation for the Arts

Motion by White, second by Tollaksen to approve membership in the Wisconsin Foundation for the Arts. Motion failed.

Discussion regarding the Historic Preservation Award Program

Tabled for further discussion to the January 12, 2007 meeting. Peter Shrake will have additional information for discussion

Review a request to consider the request for the McArthur Mill property to be added to the Sauk County Cultural/Historic Register. More information on the history of the property is desired.

Motion by Ashford, second by Tollaksen to postpone to the next meeting, to request additional information from the applicant.

Motion by Tollaksen, second by Bychinski to approve vouchers of $232.75.
Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned on a motion by Bychinski, seconded by Tollaksen, with a unanimous committee vote.

Next meeting date was set for 1:00 p.m. on January 12, 2007. Agenda items: Sauk County Calendar Update, Consideration and discussion of sponsorship of a Historic Preservation Award.
