Letter from Bob Lee, Detention Supervisor, State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections, regarding Annual Jail Inspection.

Letter from Bill Clingan, Division Administrator, State of Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development Congratulating the Sauk County Child Support Agency for their Child Support Program Performance. A Certificate of Excellence for 2005 was awarded to the Sauk County Child Support Agency. Certificates of Excellence are reserved for the six child support agencies in the State that qualify in all four performance measures.

Memo from Supervisor Wheeler regarding privatizing the Sauk County Health Care Center.

Unfinished Business:

EXECUTIVE & LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE and PERSONNEL COMMITTEE:

Ordinance No. 155-05 Amending Chapter 13 and Chapter 35 Of The Sauk County Code Of Ordinances Pertaining To The Duties And Responsibilities Of The Administrative Coordinator.

Moved (Hartje/Sinklair). Supervisor White spoke in opposition to proposed ordinance. Discussion in support of, and in opposition to proposed ordinance. Supervisor Lombard questioned if uniform language should be used regarding the wording of "Board Supervisors" and "County Board". Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel, gave a legal opinion that although the uniform language question is a valid point, it has no legal effect. Kathryn Schauf, Interim Administrative Coordinator, clarified the position of Corporation Counsel would continue to be under the oversight of the Executive & Legislative Committee.

Resolution No. 3-06 Commending Paul W. Hefty For Over Twenty Seven Years Of Faithful Service To The People of Sauk County. Paul W. Hefty received a Certificate of Appreciation from Chairman Wenzel, on behalf of the Sauk County Board of Supervisors; and addressed the Board in appreciation to the Board and the Sauk County Sheriff's Department.

Resolution No. 4-06 Commending Donald Scott For More Than 16 Years Of Faithful Service To The People Of Sauk County.

Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel, stated this resolution designates the Corporation Counsel as the point of contact person, as requested by the Wisconsin County Mutual Insurance Corporation; and that a resolution would have to be brought before the Board for approval if expenses are incurred. Resolution No. 6-06 Authorization To Purchase Eight Police Specification Squad Cars. Moved (Tollaksen/Fordham). Sauk County Sheriff's Department Captain Richard Meister clarified the car purchases are regular scheduled replacements, and costs include trade in values.
