6:00 p.m. , Sauk County Board of Supervisors public hearing in County Board Room #326 of the West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, Wisconsin, for the purpose providing the citizens of Sauk County an explanation of the Community Development Block Grant for Economic Development (CDBG-ED) program, program goals, and the application process along with a discussion of the economic development needs of Sauk County and to receive citizen input relating to the potential application:
For up to $125,000 in CDBG-ED funds to be loaned to Roecker's Rolling Acres. The funds will be utilized by Roecker's Rolling Acres to expand and modernize a dairy farm; retain three (3) full time positions, and create three (3) new full time positions.
For up to $52,500 in CDBG-ED funds to be loaned to Bangert's. The funds will be utilized by Bangert's to expand and modernize a dairy farm; retain two (2) full time, and (1) part time positions and create one (1) new full time and one (1) new part time position.
Information relating to Sauk County’s CDBG-ED applications may be obtained at the Office of the Administrative Coordinator during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Special committees, boards, special appointments and commissions shall be selected or appointed by the County Board Chairperson with the approval of the Board. These committees, boards and commissions shall select their own chairperson. The Chairperson shall notify County Supervisors of proposed appointments by United States Mail no later than the Wednesday afternoon prior to the scheduled meeting of the Board at which the appointments will be voted upon. If an appointment is to be considered at a special meeting of the Board, the Chairperson shall provide notice by United States Mail no later than six days prior to the date of the special meeting; and as Board members received notice of Public Health Board appointment on Tuesday, December 19, 2006.)
Chairman Krueger stated the Public Health Board appointment would be effective December 19, 2006, and the Board will have the opportunity to confirm at the January 16, 2007 Sauk County Board of Supervisors Meeting.

Election of Sauk County Health Care Center Board of Trustees effective January 01, 2007 : County Board Chairperson nominates 4 supervisors and 3 citizen members to serve on the Board of Trustees, who shall be placed on ballots for election by the Board of Supervisors for the below defined initial terms:
Discussion regarding procedure. Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel gave the opinion that the Sauk County Code of Ordinances governs nomination of Board of Trustees, a system different than appointments.
Motion Bychinski, to appoint the Sauk County Health Care Center Board of Trustees effective January 01, 2007, and confirm at the January 16, 2007 County Board meeting. No second.
Todd Liebman, Corporation Counsel, clarified Board members would be required to vote either yes or no by ballot for each candidate nominated by the Sauk County Board Chair; and would need to write their district number on each ballot.
