via e-mail from Mike Birr to Supervisor Hartje.
- Business Items:
- Update on Fiber Optics:
- Tim handed out the update from
Ellis and reviewed that. Discussion followed on the best
route to go from Sauk City tower to the Tower Road tower.
Tim reported that we are looking at getting an easement
to go across Badger Army Ammunition Plant. There were some
questions and concerns about doing this easement.
Discussion followed on what options there are;
- go up Hwy 12 with the obstacle of the rock that
will be encountered,
- go with the easement across BAAP, or
- look at going in the easement of Hwy 78 which
is not expected to be constructed for at least two
or three years. After discussion Committee advised
Tim to continue to look at all three options.
Supervisor Sinklair will be speaking with the State
Railroad people to see if there are any options of following
along that easement. Turin has contractors on site setting
up the Fiber equipment and we will be looking at that
a little later on.
- Merrimac:
- As-built should be finishing up the feedlines
and antennas within the next two weeks, weather permitting,
and then we can begin installing the Radio equipment.
- Hillpoint:
- Problem with the legs has been corrected
and the erection of the tower and placing
of the Communications Shelter will take place on 1-12-06.
Committee asked that Tim contact the local papers to
advise them of the tower erection date. Once the feedlines
and antennas are installed the radio equipment can be
installed at this site as well.
- Happy Hill:
- Waiting to complete Merrimac and Hillpoint then we will schedule the feedline and antenna replacement.
