The MIS Committee meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2006 by former Chairperson, Stoeckmann.
Members present: Gaalswyk, Huffaker, Krueger, Netzinger, Stoeckmann, and Sinklair.
Others Present: S. Pate
Motion to adopt agenda by Netzinger, seconded by Sinklair.
Agreed on by committee.
Motion carried.
Nomination and Election of Chair. Gaalswyk
motions to re-select Stoeckmann, seconded by Netzinger. Netzinger
motions to close nominations and name Stoeckmann Chair. Seconded
by Gaalswyk Agreed on by committee.
Motion carried
Nomination and Election of Vice-Chair. Stoeckmann asks for
volunteers. Netzinger does. Stoeckmann motions to close nominations
and name Netzinger Vice-Chair, seconded by Gaalswyk. Agreed
on by committee.
Motion carried.
Nomination and Election of Secretary. Gaalswyk nominates
Huffaker, seconded by Sinklair. Motion to close nominations
and name Huffaker Secretary by Sinklair, seconded by Netzinger.
Agreed on by committee.

Motion to adopt last month's minutes by Netzinger, seconded
by Gaalswyk. Agreed on by committee.

None by Pate. Netzinger wanted to comment on the fact that draft minutes are still not being submitted to the unapproved minutes mailbox or they are in the wrong format. Netzinger suggested that Pate bring this up at the next Dept. Head meeting. Discussion followed.
Pate addressed new committee members and handed out Sauk Co. Systems Reference Sheet. Explained that MIS is responsible for budget, maintenance and installation of all computer equipment. Explained the responsibilities of the dept. Pate also talked about staff and each person's roles in the dept. He also summarized the role that the MIS Committee fulfills in making decisions on policy and budgetary issues.
Pate handed out the form and went through the goals as they related to the priorities identified by the committee at the March 8 meeting. Discussion followed
