Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Earl and compliance with the open meeting law was noted.

Moved by Schlender, seconded by Clement to adopt the agenda with the addition of the words "December and " added to the 6 B "Review Vouchers for December and January".
Motion carried.

Moved by Haugen, seconded by Clement to approve the minutes of the January 11th, 2006 meeting.
Motion carried.

COMMUNICATIONS:

Muhlenbeck handed out several items:

BUSINESS ITEMS:

There were no business items

DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES:

  1. Michele Wolff, communicable disease nurse, gave and end of year report on all communicable disease. STD's have increased, all the rest of the communicable diseases have decreased, due, in part, to changes in Division Of Health reporting requirements.
  2. Joe Lally, environmental health specialist, gave a update on the Dangerous Animal ordinance and where it stands with Jeff Kozlowski. Lally also presented his end of year environmental health report.
  3. Moved by Clement, seconded by Schlender to add the monthly reports to the minutes of the meeting. Motion carried.
  4. Moved by White, seconded by Hannah to approve the December vouchers totaling $47,110.67. Motion carried. Moved by Haugen, seconded by Clement to approve the January vouchers totaling $24,444.09. Motion carried.
  5. After discussion, moved by White, seconded by Hannah to approve signing the resolution entitled "A Resolution to Publicly Support Smoke-Free Workplaces for Baraboo and Village of West Baraboo". Motion Carried.
  6. Moved by Hannah, seconded by Clement to approve sending Michele Wolff to the "2nd Annual Rural Public Health Institute" in Effingham, IL, March 1-3, 2006. Motion carried.
  7. Haugen gave a WALHDAB legislative issues update.

Next Board of Health meeting is set for March 8, 2006 at 6 p.m.
