there is a county ordinance that
prohibits alcohol on all county property except at the
Whitemound Park. Stieve noted that
according to Corporation Counsel, a revision to this
ordinance would be required before the Old Fashion
Day request, or future request to serve/have alcohol
on the Courthouse Lawn,
could be granted. Stieve distributed a resolution drafted by Corporation
Counsel that would
change the ordinance that would allow the Committee to grant exceptions
to the no alcohol
ordinances as it relates to the use of the Courthouse square. Motion
by Montgomery,
second by Volz to extend the time until 7:00 p.m. for the event,
