Call to order

The meeting was called to order at 9:15 AM by Chair Wiese

Certification of Open Meeting Notice

Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.

Approval of Agenda

Motion made by Borleske, second by Zowin to approved the agenda. Motion approved.

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting

Motion made by Zowin, second by Borleske to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
Motion approved.

Correspondence

• A letter was read from Dick Pedersen regarding the continued shared leadership. Paul reported that it was going well having him and Nagelkerk share the Office Chair position.
• A note from Sharon Herndon from Sauk County Social Services was read thanking the Extension Office for the Christmas gifts to one of their families.

Bills and Financial Report

The budget tables from 2006 and 2007 were reviewed and approved as printed. Motion made by Borleske, second by Zowin to accept the report. Motion approved.

Approval of Out-of-State Travel

Dietmann made a request for out-of-state travel (no cost to the county) to attend the North American Farmers' Direct Marketing AssociationConvention in Calgary, Canada from Feb. 14-18. The request was granted. Motion by Borleske, second by Zowin. Motion approved.

WACEC District Meeting

The WACEC District Meeting will be held in Barneveld, Feb. 2, 2007. Wiese and Dietmann are planning to attend.

WACEC State Meeting

The WACEC State Meeting will be held March 26-28, 2007 in Madison. Wiese and Dietmann are planning to attend.

Agents' Accomplishment Reports

The Agent Accomplishment Reports will be presented on Friday, March 16 starting at 9:30 AM. Dick Pedersen will also be attendance.

Department Updates

Dietmann reported on

• Dairy Expansion Conference being presented with Land Conservation
• Grant to study financials for goat operations
• County Dept. Head Meetings - Dietmann noted that these meetings have a lot of good topics for discussion and sharing ideas.

Nagelkerk reported on

• The "Live Off the Box" session for the SCIL meeting (food pantries)
• Dells Area Alliance for Young Children sponsorship for the Feb. 18 Children's Fair and the workshop on Brain Development.

Jens reported on

• Super Saturday - Jan. 27, 2007
• The 4-H Ambassadors fundraisers
