Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9:35 AM by Chair Wiese

Certification of Open Meeting Notice

Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.

Approval of Agenda

Motion made by Borleske, second by Cassity to approve the agenda.
Motion approved.

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting

Motion made by Cassity second by Borleske to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
Motion approved.

Correspondence

Letter from Brian J. Chrisler for the Alice in Dairyland Scholarship

Bills and Financial Report

A written summary was submitted to all members of the committee. Approval of February and March invoices. Motion by Borleske and second by Zowin to pay these bills.
Motion carried.

Make changes and put on agenda in May for approval.

Agricultural Agent Hiring Process - Dick Pederson

Dick Pederson thanked Paul for an outstanding job. He will be missed. Full steam ahead to fill the position. The job description has been updated. UW Personnel Office will move ahead fairly quickly. May 11, 2007 is targeted for posting. Will post the position for 4.5 weeks.

Position focus in Sauk County is Agricultural Economics, Dairy, Animal Science and involvement in 4-H.

Motion to authorize to fill the Agriculture Agent in Sauk County. Motion made by
Borleske and second by Lehman.
Motion carried.
