Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 11:30 AM by Chair Wiese.

Certification of Open Meeting Notice
Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.

Approval of Agenda
Motion made by Borleske, second by Cassity to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting
Motion made by Cassity, second by Borleske to approve the minutes of the last meeting.
Motion carried.

Correspondence - None

Bills and Financial Report
A written summary was submitted to all members of the committee for approval of the September invoices. Motion by Borleske, second by Cassity to pay these bills. Motion carried.

Agents Reports
Phyllis Both, Horticultural Educator, reported on the Sauk County Master Gardeners project at the Mid-Continent Railroad where they are doing a Victorian Garden. She also reported on the community garden and a project being done at the Baraboo/Sauk County Campus.

Denise Brusveen, our new Agricultural Agent, reported that she had made a visit to the Dairy Forage Research Center and will be making some farm visits to get acquainted with some of our dairy farmers.

Jessica Jens, 4-H Youth Development Agent, reported on the "Needs Assessment" which will be done in the Fall by our Agents that will entail sending our a survey to some of our clients, businesses, and other interested persons to see what they feel some of the programming needs are in the coming years.

Sue Nagelkerk, Family Living Educator, touched on a new program (Heart of the Farm) that will be coordinated by our Sauk County HCE members and will be held in Sauk County for wives of farmers in Sauk County. Denise Brusveen will be also helping with that project.

Chancellor's Visit
The Ag & Extension Committee met on Sept. 12 at the Opera House due to the visit by Chancellor David Wilson. The meeting was followed by a luncheon at the Opera House, followed by a presentation in the West Square Building by the Sauk County Association for Home & Community Education (HCE) on the work they have been doing in Sauk County including a Power Point presentation featuring the Bookworm project, Lynn's Legacy, and many of the other works being done. That was followed by a canoe trip down a portion of the Baraboo River and we had the most perfect day and it was enjoyed by all.
