HANDOUTS

The LEPC Appointment list was passed around for any changes.

NEW BUSINESS

Clean Sweep received lots of positive feedback. Thank you letters were sent out to all the volunteers. The final cost numbers are not in yet. W. Frank mentioned the amounts of the items that were taken in (over 50,000 pounds of hazardous chemical wastes, 30,000 pounds of latex paints, hundreds of used tires, 56pallets loaded with electronic items and 3 truckloads of appliances) and that the County should take a look at that when the question comes up about having another one.

J. Jelinek suggested educating the public more on the disposal of of latex paint, so they know they can dispose of it themselves.

J. Seering said he heard that some people from the Spring Green area would like something in their area and D. Nimmow said maybe two clean sweeps could be held.

The annual legal notice related to Federal Law P.L. 99-499, EPCRA Act, has been submitted to Capital Newspapers for publication, so we are in compliance.

The Plan of Work for EPCRA/EMPG is beginning.

J. Jelinek mentioned the recent propane fire in Prairie du Sac. Also, there was a hydraulic oil leak in October, in Baraboo and in November a fuel leak by Humane Manufacturing in Baraboo. Both have been billed by Baraboo Fire Chief.

D. Nimmow mentioned facility inspections and thought that T. Stieve was doing these. It is Don's understanding that the County was to be paid so much for each inspection. This will be looked into.
