Members present: Marty Krueger, Tom Kriegl, William Wenzel, Joan Fordham
Others present: Kerry Beghin, Kathy Schauf, Michelle Koehler, Media
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Kriegl. Certification of Open Meeting compliance was given.
Motion by Fordham, second by Wenzel to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
None.
Michelle Koehler presented the Personnel budget for 2008. It has been developed with no changes from prior years, other than the addition of $5,000 for advertising related to opening Unit A of the jail. Any possible changes related to implementation of the Central Services Review will be handled through separate actions once the Personnel Committee has had time to fully consider all the implications. Overall employee turnover information is tracked and presented to the Personnel Committee.
Since the Committee adjourned from the three days of budget reviews, there have been no new developments. The State has not yet adopted its budget. Beghin and Schauf preferred to take more time to be confident in the numbers related to the Health Care Center before the Committee started making recommendations on the budget as a whole.
Motion by Fordham, second by Krueger to adjourn.
Motion carried.
Respectfully submitted: William F. Wenzel, Finance Committee Secretary
