The Baraboo Range Commission met in a rescheduled regular session, February 28, 2007 at the Sauk County West Square Building in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Members present: Ashford, Beard, Hartmann, Persche, Statz, Steinhorst, Turnquist and Wenzel.
Also present: Dave Tremble, Sauk County Planning and Zoning, and Audrey Parker.
Chairperson Ashford brought the meeting to order at 8:31 AM., and asked
members to review the meeting agenda. Motion to adopt the agenda as presented
by Persche, second by Turnquist.
Motion carried.
Ashford asked members to review minutes from the January 31, 2007 meeting.
Motion to adopt the January 31, 2007 minutes by Hartmann, second by Beard.
Motion Carried.

Tremble reported on Invasive Plants workshop scheduled for Saturday March 24, at the North Freedom Road and Gun Club. He reported that the County board took action to adopt the Baraboo Tire Mart LLP., conservation easement resolution, and that he would be providing assistance to the Lanc conservation Department in the preparation of the new Sauk County Land and Water Resources Plan.
Tremble reported Chad Hendee, Assistant Sauk County Corporation Counsel, was still in the process of reviewing documents related to Gerd and Urula Muehllehner's request for approval to extinguish their existing access easement.
Beard moved to convene a closed session, pursuant to s. 19.85
(1)(e): "Deliberating or negotiating the purchase of public properties,
the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business,
whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session." For
the purpose of discussing negotiations with private landowners. Second
by Turnquist.
Motion Carried unanimously.
The Commission convened in closed session. Members present for the closed session: Ashford, Beard, Hartmann, Persche, Statz, Steinhorst, Turnquist and Wenzel. Also present: Dave Tremble, Sauk County Planning and Zoning.
The Commission returned to open session immediately following the closed session.
Tremble read from a resolution supporting the purchase of development
rights to the Evert Family Trust property in the Town of Honey Creek. Motion
to approve the resolution by Beard. Second by Persche.
Motion Carried.
Members agreed to meet in March only if needed. Tremble will notify members of meeting.
The next subsequent meeting is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday April 25, 2007.
