Tremble reported on the resignation of Lance Gurney as Director of the Planning and zoning Dept., effective April 17, and Tremble's appointment as Interim Director, to serve for a three month period, or until a successor is named.
Tremble reported Chad Hendee, Assistant Sauk County Corporation Counsel, responded to the Commission's request for an opinion regarding Gerd and Urula Muehllehner's request for approval to extinguish their existing access easement. Mr. Hendee opined that it would be inappropriate for the Office of Corporation Counsel to address the legal question as to access to any future land split, and that Corporation Counsel will not take a position on the legality of the alleged adverse possession interest.
Beard moved to convene a closed session, pursuant to s. 19.85
(1)(e): "Deliberating or negotiating the purchase of public properties,
the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business,
whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session." For
the purpose of discussing negotiations with private landowners. Second
by Steinhorst.
Motion Carried unanimously.
