Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 9 AM by Chair Ashford.

Certification of Open Meeting Notice

Requirements of the Open Meeting Law were met.

Approval of Agenda

Motion made by Tollakson, second by Stehling to approve the agenda.
Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting

Motion made by Tollakson, second by Huffaker to approve the minutes of the last meeting as amended.
Motion carried.

UW Extension

Monthly Report/Review and Approval of Vouchers (UW Extension)

A motion was made by Tollaksen, second by Stehling to approve the UW Extension vouchers for the month of October in the amount of $2406.91
Motion carried.

UW Extension - Department Update

Jens showed a short video on the Teen Court she is working on with the Reedsburg Police Department and Webb High School.

Nagelkerk gave a presentation on the “Secret of Discipline” session that she did in cooperation with the Reedsburg Police Department for parents that needed help with parenting. She also talked about the DAAYC Children’s Theater project that they would like to do.

Judy Lewis and Lynn Zick’s Job Duties

Lewis and Zick both gave a presentation on some of the highlights of their jobs as Sauk County UW Extension Administrative Assistants.

ARTS & CULTURE

Monthly Report/Review and Approval of Vouchers

Approval of mini grants, grants, artist registry and historic registry

None

Report from Supervisor Huffaker on Economic Committee issues

None

Consider approval for Supervisor Ashford’s per diem and mileage to attend the WI Arts Board Meeting Oct. 24, 2008 in Stevens Point

A motion was made by Huffaker second by Stehling to approve Supervisor Ashford’s per diem and mileage to attend the WI Arts Board Meeting Oct. 24, 2008 in Stevens Point.
Motion carried.

Report on issues discussed at the WAB meeting

Some of the items that were discussed included: In-kind contributions (how much), whether or not some may apply again or not, if there a applicant doesn’t return the evaluation the won’t be able to apply again, how many years for a project - up to three, use the WI Arts Board Logo and Sauk County Logo as often as you can.

Consider approval of proposed changes inour grant application regulations

A discussion was held on the length of time to fund a project and panel discussions
