Call to Order and Certification of the Open Meeting Law:

Carlson called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the open meeting law.

Adopt Agenda:

Rego moved to approve agenda, seconded by Irwin, passed by unanimous vote.

Approval of October 17, 2007 meeting minutes.

Tucker moved to approve minutes, seconded by Hainz, passed by unanimous vote. Rego moved to reorder agenda item #7 next. Vote to skip agenda items #4, 5, and 6, passed by unanimous vote.

Long Term Care Redesign Update:

Hebel explained progress in Long Term Care Redesign. The State of Wisconsin has approved the Southwest Wisconsin Family Care Alliance application. The ADRC will open in Sauk County on July 1, 2008, and Family Care will start September 1, 2008.

Voting for Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson:

Chairperson: Irwin nominated Art Carlson, Pieper seconded, Stoeckmann moved to close, passed by unanimous vote.

Vice-Chairperson: Carlson nominated Vaillancourt, Moyer seconded, Irwin moved to close, passed by unanimous vote.

DHFS Response to 2008 COP Plan Update:

Thill reviewed the response from Irene Anderson regarding Sauk County's 2008 COP Plan Update. The update was approved as submitted with minor suggestions made.

COP Exceptional Expense Requests:

Thill reviewed one COP Exceptional Expense Request for hearing aids, cost $1,884.50. This is for a gentleman who is a COP participant and is served by the CSP program. He is not on Medicaid and his Medicare does not pay for this item. Rego moved to accept submitting request to the State, seconded by Tucker, passed by unanimous vote.

Public Comment:

Question was raised regarding the eight (8) county transition to Family Care. Each county in the region will stagger start dates. Richland County will go on July 1st, Sauk County will start September 1st, Green County January 1, 2009, and so on.

Next Meeting:

The next meeting will be held on August 13, 2008, @ 1 p.m.
