Chair Alexander called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
Motion by Bowers, seconded by Sinklair to adopt the agenda. Motion Carried.
Motion by Bowers, seconded by Sinklair to approve minutes of the previous meeting with the following changes. Strike the sentence about Bowers reporting on Reedsburg Helping Hands. Under Department Updates, Letter B, remove the last sentence "The money would be refunded". Motion Carried.

Business Items:
A. Review and Approval of Monthly Vouchers: Box distributed the monthly voucher report (see attached). Box reviewed the report, noting that salaries and benefits decreased this month due to there only being two payroll periods versus three the last month. Administrative: Decrease due to a bill plaid last month for the Medical Remodel and not this month. Also, less expense in Office Supplies than last month. Community Living & Supportive Services: Decrease as we paid two months bills to Lutheran Social Services for Early Intervention last month versus one this month. We also had some over all decreases in Supportive Home Care, Day Services and Respite. Community Treatment: Decrease due to less paid for Counseling and Therapeutic Services and Psych Evaluations this month versus last month. Institutions: Increase due to paying a bill for third quarter Children's First that was not paid last month. Energy Services: Increased due to increased need for energy services. Motion by Endres, seconded by Dippel to approve vouchers in the amount of $1,133,134.73. Motion Carried. .
B. 2009 State/County Youth Aids Contract: Allocation is for $675,148. Our Juvenile Corrections are paid out of this dollar amount. We have two allocations, a basic allocation and a community allocation. We get to keep the community allocation. Whatever is not spent on Juvenile Corrections is the community allocation. Motion by Dippel, seconded by Bowers to approve the contract addendum. Motion Carried.
C. 2009 State/County Social Services, Community Programs & Income Maintenance Contracts: Allocation is based on numbers received so far is $4,173,823. This contract includes such things as our Adult Protective Services contract, Base Allocation, etc. Our contract used to be for a lot more as all of the Waiver Programs were under this contract as well. With Family Care, the Waiver Programs are gone. Motion by Sinklair, seconded by Endres to approve the contract. Motion Carried.
Due to weather conditions all other items were tabled until the January 2009 meeting.
The next meeting of the Sauk County Human Services Board is scheduled for Monday, January 5, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.
