PRESENT:   Stevens, Sinklair, Montgomery, Tollaksen, Sprecher, Evenson, Grill, Jelinek, Daniels, Johnson, Meister, Radke, Kris Hanson, Schauf, Barrett and Steinhorst.

The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties notified.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Sinklair to adopt the Agenda amending item# 6 Witness Fees to be placed on a Special Joint Meeting with Finance prior to County Board on August 19th at 5:15 p.m. as requested by Chairperson Stevens.  Motion Carried. 

Sprecher made a motion, second by Tollaksen to adopt the Minutes of the previous meeting.   Motion Carried.

Tollaksen made a motion second by Montgomery to support the District Attorney and send a letter requesting 1.5 additional Assistant District Attorneys placed into the State budget.  Motion Carried

Tollaksen made a motion second by Montgomery to approve the Circuit Court’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $782.76 and to approve the Circuit Court’s 2009 budget and forward it to Finance.  Motion Carried.

Leo Grill, Court commissioner appeared to present the Family Court Commissioner and Family Court Counseling’s monthly report.

Tollaksen made a motion second by Sinklair to approve the Family Court Commissioner’s Monthly vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $790.00 and to approve the Family Court Counseling and Family Court Commissioners 2009 budgets and forward both to Finance.  Motion Carried.

Vicki Meister, Clerk of Court appeared to present the Clerk of Court’s Monthly Report.

Tollaksen made a motion, second by Montgomery to approve the Clerk of Court’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $30,989.37.  Motion Carried.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Tollaksen to approve the Clerk of Court’s 2009 budget and forward it to Finance.  Motion Carried.

James Daniels, Register In Probate appeared to present the Register In Probate’s monthly report.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Tollaksen to approve the Register In Probate’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $1,226.99.  Motion Carried.

Jeff Jelinek, Emergency Management Director appeared to present the Emergency Management’s monthly report.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Sprecher to approve the Emergency Management’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $46,413.48 and to approve the Emergency Management’s 2009 budget and forward it to Finance.  Motion Carried.

Karyle Johnson, Child Support Director appeared to present the Child Support Agency’s monthly Report.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Tollaksen to approve the Child Support’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $4,662.84 and to approve the Child Support’s 2009 budget and forward it to Finance.  Motion Carried.

Ruth Steinhorst, District Attorney’s Office Manager, appeared to present the District Attorney’s Monthly Report.

Sinklair made a motion, second by Sprecher to approve the District Attorney’s vouchers for July 2008 in the amount of $4,458.46 and to approve the District Attorney’s 2009 budget and forward it to Finance.  Motion Carried.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Tollaksen to approve four District Attorney Staff persons to attend the CLASS A conference in September in Green Bay.  Motion Carried.

Motion made by Tollaksen second by Sprecher to approve Laura Moffit’s attendance at the CCR Networking Meeting August 14th in Madison.  Motion Carried.

Montgomery made a motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Stats. 19.85 (1) (c) considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.  Performance evaluation of Leo Grill and James Daniel.

Montgomery made a motion, second by Tollaksen to adjourn to September 9, 2008 at 8:15 a.m.  Motion Carried.
