Jenny Erickson reported that Sue Nagelkerk had foot surgery and hopes to come back to work on Augus 10th. She reported on the upcoming Civil Rights Review that will be coming in October. This review happens every three years and it is to review if we are in compliance with the civil rights rules for federal funding. The tourism committee work was explained and brought the committee up-to-date with the work they are doing on a regional website that involves all of the Chamber of Commerces. The work is partially finished and will be an ongoing project. One of the results of this committee is the Sauk County Travel Planner that has been published and distributed.

Jessica Jens introduced Katie Cummings who is one of three Americorp Vista Team members (Michael Wickus and Rachel Messmer are the other two). They are employed with the Sauk County UW Extension Office with no funding being provided by Sauk County. Katie then explained some of the work the team is involved in at the following locations: Ho-Chunk Nation, Kids Stop, Lunch Bunch Program in Lake Delton, Boys and Girls Club of Baraboo and Bluffview. Discussion & possible action to change working regardin the Artist's Registry directions for the Arts & Culture Website

There were some questions on the wording in the directions for artist to registery for the Registry. Currently it states that work submitted may not include pricing or direct links to the artist's website. The question was whether or not we will provide links to the artist's website from the Registry Website. Chair Ashford had conferred with Kathy Schauf, Sauk County Administrator, whether this would be possible. Schauf had several main concerns which were: 1) maintaining the site, whether it is a primary benefit to the artist and if this project is a duplication of effort. There was some discussion that maybe the link should be to the Portal of Wisconsin. After discussion a motion was made by Huffaker and second by Wiese to have links to the artist's website. Motion carried. A motion was made by Huffaker and second by Wiese to add the following wording to the directions: "works submitted may not include pricing". Motion carried.

Applications were received from nine artists to be added to the Artist's Registry (Kurt Eakle, Diana Haertel, Carol Kratochwill, Suzanne Maillette, Nancy Mustapich, Eydie Ridder, Evan Wollschlager, Marcia Wollschlager and Mimi Wuest and Mary Williams.
