Nomination of Candidates: Paper ballots are distributed to all members. The first ballot cast serves to nominate Supervisors for the position of Chair. After the nominations have been made, nominees are provided with an opportunity to address the Board for 3 minutes each regarding their nomination.
Formal paper ballot nomination for County Board Chair:
Supervisors Bychinski, Endres, Sprecher and Wenzel withdrew. Supervisors Alexander and Krueger addressed the Board regarding position of County Board Chair.
First formal paper ballot vote for Sauk County Board Chair:
Secret ballots continue until one candidate receives a majority of the votes cast.

Appointment of citizen member Karen Granberg to the Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Program Coordinating Committee. 2 year term expires 10/18/2011.

PUBLIC HEALTH BOARD:
Resolution 47-09 Authorizing Reimbursement For Attendance At The Wisconsin Public Health Association/Wisconsin Association Of Local Health Departments And Boards Conference. Moved (Stoeckmann/Stevens). Supervisor Stoeckmann with overview, and noted Supervisor Haugen will be honored at this conference for his outstanding service to the Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments. Supervisor Hartje questioned the need for a resolution vs. oversight committee approval for conference attendance. Alene Kleczek, Acting Corporation Counsel responded that State Statutes require full county board approval by resolution, unless the County Board has already approved it through the Rules of the Board. Vice Chair Endres stated the Corporation Counsel's office is reviewing the issue of including allowing oversight committee approval for conference attendance as part of the Wisconsin Statutes.
