REGULAR MEETING

ATTENDANCE:

• Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Members Present:  Steven Bach, Arthur Carlson, Betty Durst, Phyllis Johnson, Darwin Nelson, Janet Pearson, Ralph Soeldner
• Others Present:  Trish Vandre, Aging & Disability Resource Center Director, Lee J. Roundy, Aging & Disability Resource Center Fiscal Accounting Technician
  Absent:  Theron Hill, Sandy Roemer-Rutter

CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order by A. Carlson at 8:30 a.m. and was certified to be in compliance with the Open Meeting Law.

AGENDA:

Motion by D. Nelson to adopt the Agenda, second by P. Johnson. 
Motion carried.

ADOPT MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:

Motion by R. Soeldner to approve the August 2009 Meeting Minutes, second by B. Durst.  
Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: 

None registered.

COMMUNICATIONS: 

None registered. 

BOARD DEVELOPMENT:

1. Older Americans Act Program Review:  Homemaker Program:  L. Roundy and T. Vandre presented the details of the Program for Committee discussion.

DEPARTMENTAL UPDATE:

1. Year-to-Date Older Americans Act Program Trends:  T. Vandre distributed and presented the Departmental Update.  T. Vandre and L. Roundy presented the second quarter ADRC service delivery statistics.
2. LivingWell Expo, October 29, 2009:  T. Vandre provided an update regarding the upcoming Expo for Committee discussion.
3. Café Connections Grand Opening, November 9, 2009:  T. Vandre provided an update regarding the upcoming Café Connections Grand Opening for Committee discussion.

ADVOCACY:

1. Response to Mailings Received by Members:  Committee discussed the materials mailed to them since the August 2009 Meeting.
2. Report from the Communities:  Issues Raised, Priorities Expressed:  None.
3. Volunteer Representative of Committee to Senior Statesman Program, April 21-22, 2010:  T. Vandre distributed and presented information about the Program for Committee discussion.
4. Project 2020 Discussion of Materials Provided at August 5, 2009 Regular Meeting:  T. Vandre presented the Project 2020 materials for Committee discussion.
   AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN – NORTH BOARD UPDATE:  S. Bach and J. Pearson provided an update from the most recent Aging & Disability Resource Center of Southwest Wisconsin – North Board meeting.

BUSINESS ITEMS:

1. Review Draft 2010-2012 State and County Aging Unit Plans:  T. Vandre distributed and presented the Draft 2010-2012 State and County Aging Unit Plans for Committee discussion.
   1. Public Hearing at LivingWell Expo, October 29, 2009:  T. Vandre provided an update that there will be a hearing on the Plans at the upcoming Expo.

NEXT MEETING: 

The next Regular Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. at the West Square Building, Conference Room 213 on the Second Floor.

Motion by D. Nelson to adjourn the Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Committee at 10:22 a.m., second by R. Soeldner.
