Transportation Coordination Committee

In attendance:  Steven Bach - County Supervisor, Art Carlson – County Supervisor, Betty Durst – Citizen Member,  Ashley Nedeau-Owen – Mobility Manager, Janet Pearson – Citizen Member, Ralph Soeldner – Citizen Member, Trish Vandre Director ADRC of Sauk County, Natalie Wilmot – Disability Benefit Specialist, Darwin Nelson – Citizen Member, Theron Hill – Citizen Member, Phyllis Johnson – Citizen Member

Absent: Sue Hebel – Department of Human Services, Pat McGinty – Brown Cab, Michael Coleman – Sureway Taxi, Sandy Roemer-Rutter – Citizen Member, Jim Brown – Wheels of Independence, Dale Meyer – D-Cab of Reedsburg,

  1. Called to order at 10:42 AM and certified in compliance with Open Meeting Law.
  2. Moved by Nelson second by Hill that agenda be adopted.  Motion by Bach made to amend agenda.   Bach’s motion withdrawn.  Motion to adopt agenda carried.
  3. Soeldner moved to adopt minutes of previous two meetings.  Seconded by Hill and motion carried.
  4. There was no public comment.
  5. No communications have been received.
  6. A program update on The Bus was offered describing a deviated fixed route service scheduled to begin June 8, 2009.  The Bus will serve anyone living within one mile of the route.  Tuesday Travels have been suspended until sufficient rolling stock exists to meet both the demands of route service and excursions trips.  The weekly grocery trips will stop once route service is running, and all of the grocery shoppers will have many more opportunities to get out for the same cost using the route service.
  7. Bach moved and Nelson seconded re-electing current slate of officers and setting election date for May meeting.  Motion carried.
  8. A brief update of grant funding opportunities was offered.
  9. Chair Carlson appointed Phyllis Johnson as the facilitator of the Locally Developed Coordinated Public Transit Human Services Transportation Plan for 2009.
  10. Next meeting dates, August 5, 2009 and November 4, 2009 were set.
  11. Nelson moved and Durst seconded adjourning.  Motion carried.
