Members Present: Krueger, Endres, Fordham, Wenzel, Stevens, Hartje, Meister, Gaalswyk, and Halfen

Members Absent: Volz

Others Present: K. Schauf, B. Mielke, S. Muchow, A. Kleczek, J. McKenna (Town of Spring Green), E. Lilla and D. Greenwood (Jewell Associates Engineers, Inc.).

At 5:35 P.M. a motion was made by Hartje, seconded by Endres to nominate M. Krueger to chair the joint meeting. Motion by Endres, seconded by Wenzel to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot to elect M. Krueger to chair the joint meeting. Motion carried. Chair Krueger then officially called the meeting to order and certified compliance with the Open Meetings Law.

Motion by Halfen, seconded by Fordham to adopt the agenda, as printed.
Motion carried.

Discussion and Possible Resolution Authorizing the County to Participate with the Town of Spring Green as a Co-applicant on an EDA Grant for Flood Control:

Draft copies of the resolution were distributed. K. Schauf, Administrative Coordinator, explained the EDA's requirement for Sauk County to be a co-applicant in order for the project to be considered. Mr. Ed Lilla and Don Greenwood, representing Jewell Associates Engineers, Inc., addressed the group and explained the proposed flood control project. Discussion followed concerning liability issues, indemnification and remaining details to be worked out with the Town of Spring Green. Motion by Hartje, seconded by Meister to recommend forwarding the resolution to the County Board for consideration at the November 10, 2009 meeting.
Motion carried.

Motion by Halfen, seconded by Gaalswyk to adjourn. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
