The regular meeting of the Sauk County Law Enforcement Committee was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at 9:30A.M., in room D102A Community Room, 1300 Lange Court, Baraboo, Wisconsin.
The meeting was properly posted and all interested parties were notified.

Call to Order and Certification of Open Meeting Law: The meeting was called to order and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was certified by Chair Donald Stevens at 9:30 A.M.
Agenda: Motion by Tollaksen, seconded by Montgomery, to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
Approve minutes of Previous Meeting(s): Motion by Sinklair, seconded by Halfen to approve the minutes from the October 13 th meeting and the October 20 th special meeting. Motion carried.

Sauk County Animal Shelter operations update:
Animal Shelter took in 41 dogs and 87 cats in the month of October.
The Holiday Open House was a huge success, surpassing last year's total donations.
Review and approve October, 2009, expenses for Coroner:
Motion by Montgomery, seconded by Tollaksen, to approve payment of the Coroner's expenses for October 2009, in the amount of $3,488.59. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
Review and approve October, 2009, expenses for Sheriff:
Motion by Halfen, seconded by Sinklair, to approve payment of the Sheriff's Department expenses for October 2009, in the amount of $162,710.31. Bills discussed. Motion carried.
Consideration and approval of Resolution Authorizing Reimbursement for Members of the Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee for Attendance at the Wisconsin Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriff Association Conference.
Motion by Montgomery, seconded by Tollaksen. Montgomery-aye, Tollaksen-aye, Stevens- aye, Halfen-aye, Sinklair-nay. Motion Carried.
Consideration and Approval of resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a grant from the Wisconsin Office of Justice Assistance for the Sauk County Domestic Violence Liaison Project.
Motion by Tollaksen, seconded by Montgomery. Motion Carried.
Authorize the application for the Domestic Violence Firearms Surrender Protocol Grant.
Motion by Halfen, seconded by Sinklair to apply for the Domestic Violence Firearms Surrender Protocol Grant. Motion Carried.
Jail Report
Boarding other Jurisdictions for 2009, $1,810,876.79 has been collected in 2009.
No DOC Housing Report at this time.
Administrative Report
Supervisory overtime for the month of October was 26.5 hrs, which includes 19.5 hrs for special investigations and 7 hrs for special teams.
The Committee was reminded that they must tour the Jail on an annual basis. The Committee discussed completing the Jail tour during the January meeting.
The Committee expressed interest in holding the next committee meeting at the new range facility.
Field Services Report
Sauk County had a fatality on Hy 12 in October bringing the Year to date total to 4.
