Public Health Board

Members Present : J. Stoeckmann, T. Kriegl, L. Haugen, S. Clement, M. Brown, A. Delong, D. Stehling,

 

Others present : K. Schauf, C. Bodendein, C. Warwick, M. Delmore

 

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. and certification of the open meeting law was noted.

 

Moved by Stehling and seconded by Clement to adopt the agenda with approval of changes of the order of business items. Motion carried

 

Motion to approve minutes of the December 10, 2008 by Stehling and seconded by Clement. Motion carried.

 

Communications : Bodendein distributed America 's Health rankings .

 

Public Comment : None

 

Business Items for Discussion and/or Action:

 

  1. Discussion of public Health process since October 2008 presented by Stoeckmann, Bodendein and Warwick. Future plans for the Public Health presented by Bodendein and Warwick.
  2. Update on antiviral plan presented by Delmore and Bodendein.
  3. Discussion regarding the structure of southern region preparedness consortia presented by Delmore and Bodendein.
  4. Discussion of 2008 Wisconsin County Health Rankings
  5. Draft information regarding the 2020 Focus areas and Proposed Models shared with the board. Information will be available at the state public health conference regarding the 2020 health plan.
  6. Report by Bodendein regarding the Long Term Flood recovery meeting. Discussion followed.
  7. Report by Bodendein and Warwick regarding Southwest Family Care/ Human Services meeting.
  8. Motion by Clement and seconded by Brown to approve the updated HIPAA notice. Motion carried.
  9. Discussion regarding possible method to use to complete the 2010 Sauk County needs assessment. Information provided by Bodendein for board review and further discussion at future meetings.
  10. Bodendein presented the 2008 year end report for board review and further discussion at the next meeting.

 

Department updates:

•  Financial and monthly reports reviewed

•  Report by Bodendein on possible 2008 budget overrun.

•  Motion by Haugen and seconded by Brown to approve the December 2008 invoices for $30,923.32. Motion carried.

Motion by Brown and seconded by Stehling to approve the January 2009 invoices for $27,618.22. Motion carried.

•  WPHA/WALHDOB Legislative Updates presented by Haugen.
