The meeting was called to order at 5:05 p.m. by Clement and certification of the open meeting law was noted.

Moved by Stehling, second by Brown to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Moved by Stehling second by Haugen, to adopt the minutes of the 5/13/2009 Public Health Board meeting. Motion carried.

Business Items for Discussion and/or Action:

  1. Mid year report on Tobacco Program presented by Judy Spring. Discussion and questions answered regarding change in funding structure to a Multijurisdictional Collaborations. Local health departments will get final structure update when state budget is finalized.
  2. Motion by Stehling, second by Brown to approve Speech therapy rate of $160.00 per visit and home health aide rate of $75.00 per visit.  Motion carried.
  3. Motion by Stehling second by Delong to amend Chapter 28 of the Sauk County Code of Ordinances, Regulation of Tattoo Artists, Tattoo Establishments, body piercers and Body Piercing Establishments to follow state rate increases. Motion carried.
  4. Update on Novel Influenza A (H1N1) presented by Bodendein
  5. Update and discussion regarding changes to the funding structure for preparedness coalitions in the state.
  6. Standing orders reviewed and signed by Dr. DeLong. 
  7. Discussion of 2010 Form 1 and program grading sheet, concern regarding the grading sheet not reflecting concrete data. Board encouraged to review 2008 annual report for exact numbers.

Department updates:

  1. Financial and monthly reports reviewed.
  2. Motion by Haugen, second by Delong to approve the April 2009 invoices of $33,958.24. Motion carried.
  3. WPHA/WALHDOB Legislative Update by Haugen
