The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by Stoeckmann. Certification of the open meeting law was noted.
Moved by Clement, seconded by Stehling to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Moved by Kreigl second by Stehling, to adopt the minutes of the August 12, 2009 Public Health Board meeting. Motion carried.
Communications: Bodendein distributed NALBOH News Brief. Information provide on P2D2 drug clean sweep in Reedsburg on September 12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Business Items for Discussion and/or Action:
• Bodendein presented an update on the activities that the Health Department is pursuing for education of schools, businesses and the general public on the H1N1 flu. Discussion surrounded the complexity of vaccination plans for H1N1 influenza A.
• Motion by Stehling and second by Haugen to approve 2010 budget of $4,381,084.00. Motion carried
Department updates:
• Financial and monthly reports reviewed.
• Motion by Clement, second by Kriegl to approve the August 2009 invoices of $25,062.64. Motion carried.
• WPHA/WALHDOB Legislative Update by Haugen
Agenda Items for next meeting:
• Strategies for retaining the home care program and the effects of the program on other programs in the county.
• Cost report and trends in interpreter usage by the Health Department.
• Update on H1N1 plans and funding.
