Meeting called to order by Hartje at 8:00 a.m. Certificate of Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.
Adopt Agenda: Motion by Montgomery, second by Dippel to approve agenda. Carried.
Adopt draft minutes of December 4th, 2008: Motion by Volz, second by Montgomery to approve minutes. Carried.
Public Comment - No public Comment
Communications:
Request by UW Extension to use the County Board Room for Get Ready, Get Set, Garden seminar. Motion by Montgomery, second by Volz to approve. Carried.
Request by Sauk County Chapter Board of Wisconsin Right to Life Inc. to hold peaceful rally on Courthouse grounds in front of the Courthouse. Motion by Montgomery, second by Posewitz. Carried.
6. Business Items:
Update on disposition of Health Care Center after new one is constructed. Kathy provided update, no responses were received regarding the reuse of the facility thus moving forward with the demolition planning.
Treasurer's Report - Department updates - Elizabeth Geoghegan updated committee on recent bids, high bidder on five properties only wanted one of five thus his deposit was kept and the other four were sold to second highest bidder. Two other properties will be listed for sale on web site.
Discussion of Sauk County Shooting Range/Training Facility. Chief Deputy Meister updated the board on the status of the plans for the shooting range/training facility .
Discussion of Herman's Motor Clinic. Tim Stieve stated it was on hold for now unless the Committee wished to push this.
Discussion on Shelter Care Facility. Tim Stieve stated that the Shelter Care Facility was vacated the weekend of January 9th and everything will be moved out by next week. There will be minimal heat kept on in the facility. The board then discussed the possible sale of the Shelter Care Facility.
Possible closed session pursuant to Wisc. Stats. 19.85(1)(c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Performance evaluation of Administrator, EMBS. Motion by Volz to close session pursuant to Wisc. Stats. 19.85(1)(c), second by Montgomery. Carried. Roll Call vote was taken - Hartje - aye, Volz - aye, Dippel - aye, Montgomery - aye, Posewitz - aye. Carried.

7. Departmental Updates - Risk Management (Carl Gruber)
Monthly Report was given.
Reviewed deductibles. Motion by Volz, second by Dippel to approve deductibles totaling $3,000.00. Carried.
8. Departmental Updates - Buildings & Safety (Tim Stieve)
Monthly Report was given.
Review and Approve Vouchers - Motion by Volz, second by Posewitz to approve report and vouchers totaling $148,624.59. Carried.
