- Meeting called to order by Hartje at 8:00 a.m. Certificate of Compliance with Open Meeting Law was met.
- Adopt Agenda: Motion by Volz, second by Dippel to approve agenda. Carried.
- Adopt draft minutes of January 12th, 2009: Motion by Montgomery, second by Posewitz to approve minutes. Carried.
- Public Comment - No public Comment
- Communications:
- Request by Sauk County Art Association to use Sauk County Courthouse Square for 45th Annual Summer Art Classic August 8th, 2009 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Motion by Dippel, second by Montgomery to approve. Carried.
- Request by Downtown Baraboo Inc. for use of the Courthouse Square for the following dates: May 16th - 22nd Annual Faire on the Square (Spring), July 11th - 3rd Annual Harry Potter Adventure, July 24th - Old Fashion Days, October 10th - 22nd Annual Faire on the Square (Fall), October 31st - Boo-Fest, November 1st - December 31st - Decoration of Courthouse Square, November 21st - Holly Jolly Light Parade. Motion by Volz, second by Posewitz. Carried.
- Business Items:
- Treasurer's Report - Elizabeth Geoghegan updated the committee that the two tax deeded properties are now on the website for sale. All sales will go through the treasurer's office.
- Kathy Schauf informed the committee of the services provided by WasteCap where they will evaluate what within the Health Care Center can be reused/sold versus landfilling. Motion by Montgomery, second by Volz to hire WasteCap to advise on the demolition of the Health Care Center. Carried.
Kathy Schauf was asked to get appraisals on the other buildings on the current Health Care Center property.
- Motion by Montgomery, second by Dippel to approve updates to "Wall hangings, posters, other displays, and promotional materials" Policy. Carried.
- Tim Stieve updated the committee that Lutheran Social Services is out of the Shelter Care Building. The utilities were turned back over to Sauk County. He also stated that Kelly Wilcock from Sauk County Housing Authority looked at the Shelter Care Building for possible purchase. The committee asked that Tim Stieve get an appraisal of the Shelter Care Building for possible sale.
- Joel Gaalswyk discussed the possibility of Solar hot water at the LEC. The committee asked that Joel continue his research and report back.
- Departmental Updates - Risk Management (Carl Gruber)
- Monthly Report was given. Motion by Volz, second by Montgomery to approve monthly report. Carried.
- Reviewed deductibles.
Departmental Updates - Buildings & Safety (Tim Stieve)
- Monthly Report was given.
- Motion by Volz, second by Montgomery to approve resolution to complete upgrades to Card Access system. Carried.
- Tim Stieve stated that the Phone System Upgrade resolution would not be ready until next month.
- Motion by Montgomery, second by Posewitz to approve the amendment to Alliant Energy/WP&L Lease on Delton Tower. Carried.
- Review and Approval of Vouchers - Motion by Montgomery, second by Posewitz to approve report and vouchers totaling $1,302,223.28. Carried.
- Next Meeting date: Regular meeting was set for March 9th, 2009 @ 8:00 a.m.
- Adjourn: Motion by Montgomery, second by Dippel to adjourn. Carried.
