Members Present: Carlson, Curry, Spencer (arrived at 9:30am), Whitsell, and Wolkowski
Members Absent: Ellington, Waddell, Rudolph
County Personnel: Blodgett, Hause, Zomer, Wittmann, Wipperfurth
Others Present:
We don’t have quorum so the agenda items were only discussed.
AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE QUARTERLY MEETING:
1-3) the meeting started at 9:15am. We don’t have quorum so the agenda items were only discussed.
4) Public Comment:
Carlson reported on a new board being formed at the Spring Green Senior Center and read a letter requesting funds for the Spring Green Senior Center. Discussion followed. No action taken.
5) Possible Election of Secretary of the Committee – will be discussed on the next meeting in May 2019.
6) Communications: None
7) Discussion and possible action regarding the closure or reopening of the Spring Green Dining Site-Blodgett share with the members that Spring Green Dining Site is temporary closed until March 21, 2019. Discussion followed. No action taken.
8) Service Reports:
Blodgett presented the 2018 yearly activities report prepared for the oversight committee.
a) Nutrition:
1) Meals served in 2018: Blodgett reported over 50,000 meals provided in 2018. Breakfast bags are included in the approved 2019 budget.
2) Plans for Dining Sites in 2019: Blodgett reported that Reedsburg Dining Site is moving to Boys and Girls club in Reedsburg. The Dining Site will open at the new location on April 1st, 2019. Discussion followed. No action taken.
b) Caregiver:
1) Blodgett presented 2018 Caregiver Programs Customer Satisfaction Survey. She shared with the board members that Sauk County received very positive feedback.
2) Number of scholarships given: Blodgett reported that we already have a few scholarships given in 2019. 2018 was very successful year for ADRC. Many people used our scholarship program to help their family members or others.
C) Evidence-based Classes for 2018:
1) Stepping on Classes held - 4 were held this year.
2) It was planned to hold 2 Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes in 2018 and 3 were held.
3) Dementia Live training – Brianna went to a training in December 2018. On the next meeting in May she will do a small presentation for our board members.
4) Upcoming 2019 tentative class schedule – we are looking for 6 upcoming Stepping on Classes; Marina Wittmann is taking an online course – Grand families’ course.
9) Next meeting date and time: Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 9:00am
