The ADRC transportation unit is committed to providing individuals age 60 and older and adults with disabilities with affordable transportation options through the Taxi Subsidy Program, Volunteer Driver Escort Program, and Fun-Day Travels.

Fun-Day Travels Excursions
Fun-Day Travels promote an independent lifestyle, encourage socialization, and add some fun to your weekly routine! The trips are designed for adults age 60 and over as well as adults with disabilities. The cost for round-trip fare is $8 per person (as of 1.1.24), payable to the bus driver. Passengers are responsible for paying for their own lunch and any additional admission fees. Pick up locations are determined based on the passenger list.

Taxi Punch Card Rates
Reedsburg Cab: $17.50 is good for 10 rides within the Reedsburg city limits. (updated price as of 3/1/2018)
Sauk Prairie Taxi: $16.25 is good for 10 rides within the Sauk City & Prairie du Sac village limits. (updated price as of 12/10/2024)
Baraboo Taxi: $20.00 is good for 10 rides within the Baraboo city limits. Trips to, from and within the village of West Baraboo are considered outside the Baraboo city limits. To travel in West Baraboo, you must purchase a supplemental (West Baraboo) card to use along with the Baraboo card. (updated price as of 1/1/2024) Please note the cost of the taxi punch card will go up to $25 as of 1/1/2025.
West Baraboo Supplemental Card: Not available.
Punch cards must be purchased through the Aging & Disability Resource Center. They are not available from your taxi driver. For an application form or more information, please call the ADRC at (608)355-3278. See documents below for an application.
Volunteer Driver Escort Program
The Volunteer Driver Escort Service is available to provide transportation to out-of-town medical appointments, employment, and other trips of necessity. This service is available to Sauk County residents age 60 and over and adults with disabilities who are unable to transport themselves. Eligible passengers include those who are ambulatory and/or those who use assistive devices such as walkers, canes, and power chairs.
This inter city service is subsidized through the ADRC’s s85.21 Grant. The cost to the passenger is $0.35 per mile (rate effective: March 1, 2017). To arrange transportation, please call the ADRC Transportation Line at 608-355-3278 at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Services are provided as allowed by availability of staff, drivers, and resources.

Shopping Bus Expanded Services
The ADRC now offers expanded specialized transit services throughout Sauk County on Wednesdays for local and now Madison area shopping. Every Wednesday the shopping bus will transport shoppers to one of four shopping locations. Bus Shopping Trips will rotate weekly between Baraboo Walmart, Madison West Towne Mall, Lake Delton Walmart, and Madison East Towne Mall. In addition to two new locations, buses will stop at these central locations and the shoppers can request to be taken to other shopping locations within a reasonable radius of that center stop. Our goal is to give you, our passengers, more control and freedom to choose where you shop.

Rules
· Minimum capacity is 3 passengers per trip
· Bus trips may be canceled on short notice due to weather, mechanical issues, nonparticipation, or unforeseen issues.
· Seats are limited and by reservation only
· Please call at least 2 days in advance to reserve your spot
· Cost is $5.00 to board and includes your return fare
· Passengers will be picked up at prearranged group locations. Exceptions may be made on a case by case, pre-approved basis to meet the needs of some passengers.
· Your bus driver reserves the right to deny stops other than those listed and passengers must remain seated and seat belts worn while the bus is in motion
