A quorum may be present consisting of members of the Aging & Disability Resource Center Committee; Economic Development Committee; Finance, Personnel & Insurance Committee; Health and Human Services Committee; Land Resources & Extension Committee; Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee; Public Works and Infrastructure Committee; and Executive & Legislative Committee. No governing body will exercise any responsibilities, authority, or duties except for the Executive & Legislative Committee. It is possible that a quorum of county board members will be at this meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-making responsibility. This constitutes a meeting of the County Board pursuant to State ex rel Badke v. Greendale Village Board, Wis 2d 553, 494 n.w.2d 408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although the County Board will not take any formal actions at this meeting. It is also possible that there may be quorums of other County Board Committees present, although those committees will not take any formal action at this meeting.

Land Resources and Extension (LRE) Committee members present: M. Krueger, D. Polivka, P. Kinsman, V. McAuliffe, L. Eberl, B. Spencer, R. Puttkamer
Others present: M. Schlupp, R. Meyer, C. Meyer, J. Alt
Absent: B. Lohr (excused), B. Prosser (excused)
At 9:00 a.m. Krueger called the Land Resources and Extension Committee meeting to order. LRE Staff certified the meeting to be compliant with Open Meetings Law.
Adopt agenda - Motion by McAuliffe / Spencer to adopt the February 25, 2025, agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
Adopt minutes of previous meeting – February 13, 2025 - Motion by Spencer / Puttkamer to adopt the February 13, 2025 LRE Committee meeting minutes. Motion carried, unanimously.
Public comment – No public comment
Communications – M. Schlupp noted that Tim Kabat will be starting on Monday, March 3rd with a department meeting taking place at White Mound.
Land Resources and Environment
- Review and approval of vouchers. M. Schlupp presented vouchers in the amount of $7,227.25 for 2024 and $11,070.08 for 2025. Motion by Polivka / McAuliffe to pay all sets of vouchers for the LRE Department. Motion carried unanimously.
- Discussion and Possible Action on Support Letter for the Friends of the Baraboo River Application for the Prairie du Sac Dam Aquatic Resources Enhancement Fund. M. Schlupp noted that Joe Van Berkel is not on the zoom meeting yet. Motion by Spencer / Eberl to lay on table at 9:03am. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Polivka / McAuliffe to take this item off the table at 9:16am. Motion carried unanimously. M. Schlupp requested a Support Letter for the Friends of the Baraboo River Application for the Prairie du Sac Dam Aquatic Resources Enhancement Fund. Motion by Polivka / Puttkamer to approve a letter of support for the Friends of the Baraboo River Application for the Prairie du Sac Dam Aquatic Resources Enhancement Fund. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Hearing: To begin at approximately 9:15 a.m. or soon thereafter. Committee to consider and take possible action at the conclusion of the respective hearing.
M. Krueger noted there are no public hearings to be presented.

Motion by Polivka / Puttkamer to approve a Resolution to Authorize Participation in the State of Wisconsin Motorized Recreation Grant Programs for Snowmobile Trails, ATV/UTV Trails, and Off-Highway Motorcycle Events. Motion carried unanimously.
- Discussion and possible action on purchase of a vehicle for Parks and Recreation. C. Meyer requested action on purchase of a 2025 Ford Maverick XLT AWD Super Crew vehicle for Parks and Recreation. Motion by McAuliffe / Eberl to approve the purchase of a 2025 Ford Maverick XLT AWD Super Crew vehicle for Parks and Recreation in the amount of $30,251.00. Motion carried unanimously.
- Discussion and Possible Action on a Resolution to Adopt Amendments to the Land Resources and Environment Department Fee Schedule. M. Schlupp requested approval on a Resolution to Adopt Amendments to the Land Resources and Environment Department Fee Schedule. Motion by Eberl / McAuliffe to approve Resolution to Adopt Amendments to the Land Resources and Environment Department Fee Schedule. Motion carried unanimously.
