The meeting was called to order and certification of Open Meeting compliance was given at 4:30 p.m. The agenda was approved on a motion by Polivka, second by Riek. Motion carried.
The meeting minutes from the prior meeting were approved on a motion by Stehling, second by Polivka. Motion carried.
Public Comment None
Communications Chair Krueger shared a communication updating on progress regarding Broadband Assessment Tool for surveying businesses in rural areas regarding connectivity.
Outside agency presentation of 2015 budget request
Sauk County Development Corporation - Jim Allen. Request - $72,528. Increase to cover hardware, software, and website design for 2015. Motion by Polivka, second by Stehling, to approve the budget request of $72,528, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Baraboo Dells Airport - Cheryl Giese. Request - $4,100. Motion by Riek, second by Stehling, to approve the budget request of $4,100, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Tri-County Airport - Marc Higgs and Don Stevens. Request - $16,805. Higgs highlighted changes to budget request for specific projects. Improvements in parking, drainage, and septic system. Motion by Polivka, second by Johnson, to approve the budget request of $16,805, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Sauk Prairie Airport - David Landsverk and Roger Thistle. Request - $4,100. Landsverk highlighted 2014 activities, including installation of a PAPI system to ensure safety. Motion by Peper, second by Stehling, to approve the budget request of $4,100, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Wisconsin River Rail Transit – John Miller. Request - $28,000. Focus on improving track(s) as a long term project. Motion by Polivka, second by Vedro, to approve the budget request of $28,000 and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Reedsburg Airport - Steve Zibell. Request - $4,100. Motion by Johnson, second by Riek, to approve the budget request of $4,100, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Pink Lady Rail Transit Commission - Alan Anderson. Request - $675. Motion by Vedro, second by Peper, to approve the budget request of $675, and forward to the Finance Committee for consideration as part of the 2015 budget. Motion carried.
Next meeting: August 28, 2014, 6:00 p.m. Broadband report on rural areas and plans for moving forward.
Motion by Peper, second by Vedro, to adjourn. Motion carried.
