DATE/TIME: Tuesday, July 2, 2024 4:00 P.M.
PLACE: Room 213, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI
A quorum may be present consisting of members of the Aging & Disability Resource Center and Veterans Service Office Committee; Board of Health; Economic Development Committee; Executive & Legislative Committee; Extension Education, Arts & Culture Committee; Finance Committee; Health Care Center Board Of Trustees; Highway Committee; Human Services Board; Land Resources & Environment Committee; Law Enforcement & Judiciary Committee; Personnel & Insurance Committee and Property Committee. No governing body will exercise any responsibilities, authority or duties except for the Executive & Legislative Committee. It is possible that a quorum on county board members will be at this meeting to gather information about a subject over which they have decision-making responsibility. This constitutes a meeting of the County Board pursuant to State ex rel Badke v. Greendale Village Board, Wis 2d 553, 494 n.w.2d 408 (1993), and must be noticed as such, although the County Board will not take any formal actions at this meeting. It is also possible that there may be quorums of other County Board Committees present, although those committees will not take any formal action at this meeting.

Members Present: McCumber, Polivka, Detter, Eberl, Rego, Krueger and Carver
Members Absent: Deitrich and Peper
County Personnel: Tony Tyczynski, Veteran Service Officer; Jed Seidl, Emergency Management; Brent Miller, Administrator; Brian Desmond, Corporation Counsel and Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk
County Personnel Absent:
Chair McCumber called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and compliance with the open meeting law was verified.
MOTION (Eberl/Detter) to adopt the amended agenda. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Carver/Rego) to approve minutes from the previous meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Tony Tyczynski, Veteran Services:
a) Monthly report/review and approval of vouchers:
Tyczynski presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
Jed Seidl, Emergency Management:
a) Monthly report/review and approval of vouchers:
Seidl presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
MOTION (Rego/Carver) to approve the bills in the amount of $358.58. Motion carried unanimously.
Supervisor Peper arrived at 4:05 p.m.
b) Discussion and possible action on resolution to approve purchase of Sauk County Mobil Command Post from LDV Inc.,
Burlington, WI:
MOTION (Krueger/Peper) to put the resolution on the floor for discussion.
Seidl gave the committee a brief overview. Discussion took place among the committee.
Supervisor Deitrich arrived at 4:16 p.m.
MOTION (Krueger/Eberl) to send this resolution back to the Finance Committee for a discussion to occur with the EMS
Director and come up with a dollar amount for funding/options.
VOTE: AYES (6) Deitrich, Polivka, Eberl, Rego, Krueger and Peper. NAYS (3) McCumber, Detter and Carver.
ABSENT (0). Motion carried.
Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk:
a) Monthly report/review and approval of vouchers:
Evert presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
MOTION (Rego/Deitrich) to approve the bills in the amount of $2,693.33. Motion carried unanimously.
Brian Desmond, Corporation Counsel Department:
a) Monthly report/review and approval of vouchers:
Desmond presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
MOTION (Deitrich/Carver) to approve the bills in the amount of $21,884.71. Motion carried unanimously.
Brent Miller, Administrator:
a) Administrator monthly report/review and approval of vouchers:
Miller presented the monthly report and list of bills for the department.
MOTION (Rego/Peper) to approve the bills in the amount of $60,087.67. Motion carried unanimously.
b) Lease Amendment with PACJETS Financial, LTD and Sauk County (Training Center):
Miller gave the committee an overview.
MOTION (Rego/Eberl) to approve the lease. Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion and possible action on proposed changes to Rules of the Board:
MOTION (Polivka/Detter) to approve both petitions and forward to county board for approval. Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Deitrich/Detter) to set the next regular meeting of E&L to Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:03 p.m.
