MEETING NOTICE/AGENDA

 

COMMITTEE:  EXECUTIVE & LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

DATE/TIME:  Friday, August 14, 2020                                                           9:00 A.M.           

PLACE:  Room 213, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI.

 

This meeting is open to the public. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the public may wish to watch the meeting on streaming video which can be found on the County’s webpage at *http://sauk.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2.  No one should attend the meeting if they are experiencing COVID- or flu-like symptoms, have a fever, sore throat or recently experienced a loss of taste or smell.  Masks are encouraged but not required. Social distancing of 6 feet is required.

a.  Board of Health - Ross Curry replacing Donna Stehling

b.  ADRC Regional Committee (Eagle Country ADRC) - Bill Stehling replacing Ross Curry

c.  ADRC Transportation Committee - Bill Stehling replacing Ross Curry    

8.    *Discussion and Approval of Resolution Authorizing a Five year License Agreement with Northland Business

        Systems for a Hosted Transcription System.

Review and Action on a Contract Between the County and Cross Jenks for outside legal services.
Discussion and Action of Proposed Rule Changes.
Discussion & Action of County Administrator Ordinance.
Closed Session pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.85(1)(c) for the purposes of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

Executive & Legislative Committee

Friday, August 14, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

Sauk County West Square Building, Room 213, 505 Broadway, Baraboo WI

 

Members Present:  McCumber, Lohr, Czuprynko, McAuliffe and Krueger

Members Absent:  

County Personnel:  Rebecca Roeker, Interim Corporation Counsel; Dave Bretl, Interim Administrative Coordinator and Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk, Steve Pate, MIS Director; Jessica Machovec, Sheriff’s Department and Susan Blodgett, ADRC Director

County Personnel Absent:  

 

Chair McCumber called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and compliance with the open meeting law was verified.

 

MOTION (Czuprynko/McAuliffe) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Communications:  None.

 

Public Comment:  None.

 

Approval of Resolution Honoring Donna Stehling: 

MOTION (Czuprynko/McAuliffe) to approve the resolution and forward to County Board for approval.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Discussion and Approval of Vacant Seat in Supervisory District 30:

Chair McCumber gave the committee a brief overview.  MOTION (Czuprynko/Lohr) to recommend the appointment of Bill Stehling to the full County Board at the August 18, 2020 County Board Meeting.  Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Approval of Committee Assignment Changes:

               a.  Board of Health – Ross Curry replacing Donna Stehling

               b.  ADRC Regional Committee (Eagle Country ADRC) – Bill Stehling replacing Ross Curry

               c.  ADRC Transportation Committee – Bill Stehling replacing Ross Curry

Supervisor Czuprynko gave the committee a brief overview of the document changes.  MOTION (Czuprynko/McAuliffe) to approve the changes and forward to County Board for approval.  Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Discussion and Action of County Administrator Ordinance:

Bretl gave the committee an overview.  MOTION (McAuliffe/Czuprynko) to approve the resolution and forward to County Board for approval.  Motion carried unanimously. 

Closed Session pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.85(1)(c) for the purposes of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility:  MOTION (McAuliffe/Krueger) to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wis. Stat. s. 19.85(1)(c) for the purposes of considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.  VOTE:  AYES (5) McCumber, Lohr, Czuprynko, McAuliffe and Krueger.  NAYES (0).  ABSENT (0).  Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Closed session began @ 9:25 a.m.

 

MOTION (Lohr/Czuprynko) to reconvene in open session. 

 

Semi-finalist candidates were selected to be reviewed. 

 

MOTION (Lohr/Krueger) to adjourn.  Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
