SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

MEETING NOTICE/AGENDA

 

COMMITTEE:  EXECUTIVE & LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

DATE/TIME:  Tuesday, April 28, 2020                                                     3:00 P.M.           

PLACE:  County Board Room, 3rd Floor, West Square Building, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI.

 

Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, this meeting will be conducted "In Person" and virtually or by phone.  Attendance by supervisors appearing in-person will be limited to members of the Executive and Legislative Committee.  All other supervisors who wish to attend virtually or by phone must call or email the County Clerk for an access link.  If any member of the public needs to attend in person, they must first contact the clerk at 608-355-3523.  The public is strongly encouraged to attend on-line by following this link:  http://sauk.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2

Call to Order and Certify Compliance with Open Meetings Law.
Adopt Agenda.

Discussion of employment contract between Sauk County and Corporation Counsel Daniel Olson and the scheduling of a special county board meeting for consideration.
Update regarding COVID-19 in Sauk County by Tim Lawther.
Discussion and Consideration of Committee Assignments.
Adjourn.

MINUTES

 

Executive & Legislative Committee

Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.

Members Present:  McCumber, Lohr, Czuprynko, McAuliffe and Krueger

Members Absent:  

County Personnel:  Gary Rehfeldt, Interim Corporation Counsel; Dave Bretl, Interim Administrative Coordinator and Becky Evert, Sauk County Clerk  

County Personnel Absent:    

Others Present:  (Virtually)  Brian Peper, Donald Stevens, Ross Curry, Bryant Hazard, Lynn Eberl, Smooth Detter, Patricia Rego and Nicole Aimone 

 

Chair McCumber called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. and compliance with the open meeting law was verified.

 

MOTION (Czuprynko/McAuliffe) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Communications:  None.

 

Discussion of employment contract between Sauk County and Corporation Counsel Daniel Olson and the scheduling of a special county board meeting for consideration:

Interim Corporation Counsel, Gary Rehfeldt gave the committee a brief update. 

MOTION (Czuprynko/McAuliffe) to request that a petition be circulated for a Special County Board Meeting on May 5, 2020 @ 6:00 p.m. to discuss the matter.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

Update regarding COVID-19 in Sauk County by Tim Lawther:

MOTION (Krueger/Czuprynko) to lay the item on the table for presentation at a later date.  Motion carried unanimously. 

 

Discussion and consideration of committee assignments:

MOTION (McAuliffe/Czuprynko) to approve all committee assignments and forward to the May 19th County Board Meeting for approval with the following friendly amendments being made:

 South Central Environmental Health Consortium being removed as the committee no longer exists.
 Southwest Badger Resource Conservation & Development Council – Kinsman should be the member assigned.
 Health Board – Detter was removed and replaced with Dorner.
 Property Committee – Dorner was removed and replaced with Detter.
 Economic Development – Detter was removed and replaced with Schell.

Motion carried unanimously. 

 

MOTION (Krueger/Czuprynko) to adjourn.  The meeting adjourned at 3:15 p.m.  Motion carried unanimously.
