Members present: Henry Netzinger, Bill Higgins, Dennis Polivka, Nathan Johnson, Terri Langer
Absent: Mike Flint, Mary Ellen Murray
Others present: Jennifer Vosen, Theresa Dietz, Alene Kleczek Bolin, Marty Krueger, and Dennis Murray
1. Chair Netzinger called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. and certified compliance with the open meeting law.
2. Motion by Polivka, second by Langer, to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
3. Motion by Higgins, second by Polivka, to approve the minutes of the March 9, 2017 meeting. Motion carried.
4. Public Comment –Terri Langer presented Easter treats for the employees to enjoy on Easter Sunday.
5. Communication --none
6. Alt resolution – Motion by Polivka, second by Langer, to forward the resolution commending Dean Alt for over 41 years of service to the people of Sauk County to the Board of Supervisors, for their approval. Motion carried.
7. Possible closed session pursuant to Wisc. Stats. 19.85 (1) (c) Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Performance Evaluation of Superintendent/Administrator.
Motion by Polivka, second by Higgins, to go into closed session at 5:50 pm. Motion Carried.
8. Reconvene in open session – Trustees reconvened in open session at _6:13 pm.
9. Business Office report and voucher review- Jenny presented the vouchers and highlighted items of interest. Operations statement and aging were, also discussed. Motion by Langer, second by Higgins, to approve March 2017 vouchers in the amount of, $121,139.23. Motion carried.
10. First Quarter Adjustments-- Jenny presented the first quarter adjustments Motion by Higgins, second by Langer, to approve first quarter adjustments. Motion carried.
11. First Quarter Donations -- Jenny presented the first quarter donations. Motion by Polivka,
second by Johnson, to accept first quarter adjustments. Motion carried
12. Discussion and consideration of strategic issues for the Board Midterm discussion. Jenny will give a presentation, regarding the addition of an Assisted Living Facility to our campus, to the Board of Supervisors at the April 18, 2017 meeting. The Supervisors will receive a one hundred word synopsis at the May 16, 2017 meeting.
13. Assisted Living Discussion – Jenny presented the timeline on the Assisted Living project. Discussion followed. She gave the presentation that she will present to the County Board.
14. Administrator’s report - Jenny reported that she had attended the regular administrative meetings. She presented outcomes and efficiency measures. She has been working on the “Mega Rule” changes and has been busy with survey preparation. She mentioned that we will need to replace a boiler and that she is meeting with the webpage designer on April17, 2017

16. Next meeting date and agenda items for next month - The next meeting will be Thursday May11, 2017 at 5:15pm.
