PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING - REPLACEMENT OF CTH PF BRIDGE NORTH FREEDOM

PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING

REPLACEMENT OF CTH PF BRIDGE

April 9, 2025

5:00 PM to 6:00 PM

The reconstruction of the CTH PF Bridge will be discussed at a public involvement meeting. This bridge crosses over the Baraboo River in the Village of North Freedom.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Village of North Freedom Community Center, 105 N Maple Street, North Freedom, WI 53951. Residents are encouraged to attend.

The existing three-span steel girder bridge will be replaced with a new three-span haunched concrete slab bridge at the current bridge location. The project also includes reconstruction of the roadway approaches. Small areas of temporary limited easements are anticipated at this time. Work consists of bridge removal, grading, concrete masonry, pile driving, crushed aggregate base course, asphaltic pavement, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, erosion control items, and landscaping items.

During construction, the existing CTH PF roadway and bridge will be closed to traffic. Construction is currently scheduled for summer 2027.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the preliminary plans of the work scheduled for the bridge construction project, discuss the proposed schedule, and gather public input. Any comments or questions that may be of interest to the design team are welcome.

The meeting will begin with a short presentation to provide an overview of the project, followed by time for questions and answers. Representatives from the Sauk County Highway Department and MSA Professional Services, the design firm leading the project, will be available to discuss project details, address comments, and answer questions.
